Like in a novel: The Storm Peaks house is up for sale

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be able to live your favorite novel? Admit it, most of you, at least once in your life, identified with the protagonist of a literary work. It would be fantastic to be able to fully experience that setting that has always made us dream. What if we told you that this wish can come true? Well yes. For the incurable romantics, the house that inspired this masterpiece is finally on sale. Exactly in Yorkshire, you can find Ponden Hall. Are you curious to find out more? Well, then, we can inaugurate today's brand new column! Let's start!

This column will be unusual. Because we have decided to take integral parts of the novel to better describe the characteristics of this wonderful estate. Emily Bronte wrote about a chair, a wardrobe and a large oak chest. The Earnshaw Room perfectly embodies this description. We remind you that, currently the residence has been converted to a Bed and Breakfast, but this does not mean that it cannot be transformed again into a private home. Continuing with the description, we underline the presence of nine bedrooms. All overlooking a wonderful landscape, where you can immerse yourself completely. In fact, everything recalls in an impeccable way, the typical romantic and at the same time dark atmosphere, present in the novel. The walls also evoke a bygone era, together with the vast garden that surrounds the property.

Does all this remind you of anything? The most avid Bornte fans will not have missed this element with Thrushcross Grange, the Lintons' residence, destined to become the home of the protagonist once she is married. And the interiors? They are very reminiscent of Wuthering Heights. For those unfamiliar with it, this is the house where Catherine Earnshaw spent her childhood, along with her first great love for Heathcliff. As you can see, there is no element that cannot bring to mind even a simple link with the story told by Emily. But when did the house date? This answer will make you shiver. Because the exact year is 1634 .. and that's not all. Emily herself took refuge, just after a storm, in this mansion. So, this property has an added value in itself, because you could relive your author par excellence inside a house where she spent a period of her life.

It is not surprising, therefore, how Emily Bronte thought of telling the story of Catherine Earnshaw who found a refuge, just after a storm, in such a house. It goes without saying that all the furnishings are in perfect line with the seventeenth-century style. Large carpets adorn all the rooms, the ceiling with wooden beams guarantees the rustic style of the farm, and the four-poster bed also conveys that romantic atmosphere that only an avid reader of this book cannot fail to appreciate.
The price? You will wonder. Well, in order to become the owner of this property, you need a million pounds. So, if you want to make a real estate investment and are in love with the works of Emily Bronte, you certainly can't miss this deal!
