Bansky increases the value of a property

Who would have thought that the value of a property could have increased thanks to a mural, among other things considered as an act of vandalism? As absurd as it may seem, it is a funny anecdote that involved the most mysterious artist of our times: Bansky! If you are curious to know more, read the next lines. Today's reading will be not only illustrative but also quite alternative. So, if you are a lover of art and the world of real estate, we can start!

Let's start by introducing the artist in question. As we anticipated, for the uninitiated, Bansky is an artist with an unknown identity, who leaves behind him some murals scattered all over the world. Some dedicated to the most important issues of the moment, such as the Covid emergency, the American elections, the internal wars in the Middle East. Others that represent messages of hope or more ironic. Well, in a world where art is increasingly re-evaluated, it seems that Bansky has hit our own sector: the real estate one.

In Bristol, a house for sale worth 350 thousand euros was the backdrop for yet another mural by the artist of the moment. If the graphic representation in question would have aroused in another historical moment and at the hands of another individual, indignation and perhaps a complaint for an act of vandalism, in this case the effect was the opposite. The subject represented, an elderly woman who sneezes on the facade of the '' naturally '' sloping house, gave added value to the entire property.

Put simply, the price jumped to € 5.5 million. A remarkable fortune for the owner of the house, who renamed the work with '' Aachoo '', a typical onomatopoeia linked to sneezing. The inclination of the building compared to the neighboring ones, with the addition of this nice work of art, has therefore generated amazement and also luck for the owner. But this story has another happy ending. In fact, Aileen Makin, owner of the house, explained to the various newspapers that she decided to take an interest in order to protect the work with the utmost rigor. In the meantime, a plexiglass wall has been affixed to prevent atmospheric agents from damaging the image and altering it. There have been many previous acts of vandalism on Bansky's works, so it is more than understandable the urgent need on the part of Makin to protect the subject of the work.

In short, good news that makes us understand how even a simple mural can give and create a new aspect, and value, to a property. We do not yet know who will be the lucky one or the lucky one to become the new owner of the property. What is certain is that we will continue to inform and inform you about what is happening in the world of real estate.
