Early spring for real estate. But how is this possible? True, we are only in January, one of the coldest and most emblematic months of the whole calendar year. A new year begins and with it good intentions and news. But also for real estate, this 2020 seems to be really lucky. To the point of being considered as a January with a spring flavor.

But why? So let's start this new article trying to give an explanation to this particular phenomenon. First of all, what do we mean by ‘’ spring ’’ for real estate? Spring in general is the most favorable period for the real estate sector. Purchases are more numerous, as well as demanding, but above all the competition for the houses is very high! This general trend has its origins in 2015. From now on, spring (as a world average) has marked a winning period every year.

 Especially in world capitals. In particular, the peak month is April. January has always lagged behind in this respect. Until last year. In fact, in 2019, according to the main statistical data, there was a trend reversal. Times have been brought forward, to the point of making the world real estate market particularly fruitful since the beginning of the year. Shoppers no longer modify their strategies to make optimal purchases. Rather, they try to grab the deal in the shortest possible time. Already the hypothetical inventory of the coming months, will tend to decrease drastically, if the trends continue at this speed.

And what about house price increases? As we have already seen in the previous guides, the increase in prices is physiological. Partly for the needs that point to innovation in a green key, partly for the increase in high-end properties in secondary locations. With the increase in low cost flights, in fact, totally unknown areas have emerged, which have now become important competitors in world real estate.

So, how will buyers behave in 2020 but above all what do they fear most? We begin to answer the first question. It is not at all easy to give a solution to this question, but, for what is happening to world real estate, we can say that probably, in the spring, there will be very few houses available.
The behavior of the current owners is reluctant to renounce their real estate, especially since real estate has become so varied and unpredictable. Both the demand side and the supply side focus on a single goal: that of making quick and immediate transactions. The weather could lead to greater price increases and loss of interest.

It should also be clarified, as we have already shown in one of our previous guides, that real estate is much more advantageous immediately after the holiday period. And it seems that potential buyers have understood this dynamic perfectly.

We just have to wait for further news. But until then, we are hopeful. This 2020 seems to have started in the best way!
