California: when real estate turns pink

Directly from the wonderful California, we get a whole pink novelty. A real estate oriented towards the social, especially towards women. An innovative initiative and at the same time able to help a segment of the population that finds itself in extreme difficulties. So let's see what this project that involved the New Economics for Women Organization (NEW) consists of.

First of all, how is the project made up and who is it addressed to? Let's start from this to analyze this extraordinary idea in detail. NEW is an organization that aims to help women in difficulty concretely, allowing them to have a roof to live under. In a world where the price of life is growing more and more, and where the gender difference is still underlined, the action of associations of this type is therefore necessary.

The project therefore unearthed eight wonderful and super efficient homes in Canoga Park (California). A union, that between real estate and social emergency, which also involves sustainability and energy efficiency.
One of the co-owners of the company that took care of this initiative, explained how the biggest challenge was not so much to create accommodation, but to allow the women who would have occupied it to enjoy all the comforts.
We are talking about a group of reference that lives in a state of absolute poverty, often with children.

But how are these eight houses, so revolutionary, structured?
The colors used are mostly clear, to allow the entry and propagation of as much light as possible inside the home. The furniture, on the other hand, contrasts with the whiteness of the wall, to give a greater visual impact. The parquet floors, as well as the rest of the materials used, evoke the concept of sustainability. The most polluting materials that are often used for economic reasons have not been contemplated in the project from the beginning. A clear sign of strong orientation towards the green building economy.
Every detail has been carefully chosen, leaving nothing to chance.

Overall, the eight houses have a similar structure and furnishings, so as to be able to amortize (in part) the construction costs. And not a few companies in the construction sector, but also in the interior and design sectors, have decided to contribute to this project. In short, a clear example of how, even in real estate, there are truly exemplary initiatives, which can be concretized thanks to everyone's cooperation.

But the project does not end in these eight houses. The goal is to create a real new segment within real estate, dedicated precisely to the weakest segments, without forgetting technological progress and sustainability. The latter, of course, declined both at an environmental and economic level, but also and above all socially!

What can we say, we hope that this project can expand beyond Californian borders!
