Hungary, Luxembourg and Croatia: the biggest peaks in real estate

In the last year, world real estate has been characterized by a strong general increase in prices. Thanks to the very high demand, especially for some types of property. But to stand out from the rest of the countries of the world, Hungary, Luxembourg and Croatia emerge. Three realities, totally distinct, which however have achieved similar exorbitant results.
So, in short, if you are ready, we will give you a background on how real estate has evolved during 2019 in these countries!

Our analysis sees Hungary emerge at the top of our ranking. With an annual growth of 15.4%, it was supported by a solid economy. Also due to the very low mortgage rates, wage growth and the introduction of policies aimed at adopting various state subsidies.
Similar situation in recent years, but which seems to have cooled down, is the one present in Slovenia, which ranks 18th in the ranking and Malta (22nd). The stalemate was undoubtedly generated by factors opposite to those that allowed the revival of Hungary. First of all, therefore, the presence of weak economic dynamics, followed by general concerns related to economic accessibility. Undoubtedly, the decline in tourism is a point that has touched historic lows.

But let's continue with the top countries! Luxembourg ranks second in our ranking, with a (positive) change in terms of prices but also of 11% sales compared to last year. About six percentage points more were recorded monthly in the last six months and 5 in the last quarter! Luxembourg's wealth, which does not seem to fade, depends on being a crossroads for many tourists and diplomats.

Last but not least, it is wonderful Croatia. Indeed, several times we have spoken of this land, as one of the most beautiful in which to move or simply to spend a simple holiday period. Rich in unparalleled nature, Croatia is one of the places with the highest peak in property prices. The percentage figures are around 10.4% in the last year (more than in 2018). For the last half year, however, the percentage is 6.2 percentage points and, last but not least, a nice 2.7% in the last quarter of 2019.

The place that is most affected by the great Croatian visibility, is undoubtedly Greece. With its own history and natural beauty, it cannot emerge on Croatia. Probably due to the recent exit from the European Union.

What can we say, our background on the situation in these countries ends here. Obviously, certain forecasts cannot be given on how real estate will evolve. But if you are curious to know more, you just have to stay updated on our Realigro portal!
