2020 rentals: the most expensive cities

The end of the year is almost upon us. And leaving aside Christmas expenses, which absorb us both as time but also economically, it is also right to think about the future. In particular, in real estate, which cities will be the ones in which it will be convenient to move. After having previously carried out an analysis on sustainability, we decided to analyze which are the most expensive realities that will characterize the global real estate. In more detail, trying to analyze the whole, from the side of the leases.
Which is why, if you're ready, we can start!

But it is right to start from which cities will be the ones in which, generally, more will be invested. Among the sectors that will facilitate the improvement of the real estate, we remember the logistics, the student housing and social and the health field. Alternative sectors, however, capable of generating value.
And therefore, the cities that will be affected (positively) by this wave will undoubtedly be Paris (first in the standings thanks to the works for the Olympics), together with Frankfurt and Berlin and London. The latter has a significant value, since, despite the pre and post Brexit crisis, it seems to keep the interest of large companies high and, above all, capable of implementing substantial redevelopment and improvement policies.
The top 5 is closed by the wonderful Madrid, where the prospects for the real estate market remain high. However, even the prices do not seem to want to go down.

Having given a broad background to the situation, it is right to go into the merits of our current column. Let's find out what the cities with the most expensive rentals in 2020 will be.

1. Athens
2. Lisbon
3. Berlin
4. Amsterdam
5. Monaco

In the first place, as you can see, the Greek Athens emerges. The reasons for the increase in the price of rents are varied. First of all, without a shadow of a doubt, the exit from Europe and the need to revive the country from the economic crisis.
The second city, Lisbon, seems to remain adequate to the trends observed in previous years, after the law that increased the price increase already in mid-2019.
Berlin is not surprising with its third place, considering that every year it hosts many young Erasmus students who need (and therefore require more) accommodation places in order to live this experience. An exponential increase in demand, which generates an 'increasingly consistent offer, also in terms of price.

Amsterdam and Monaco close the top 5 of our ranking. The first is the most expensive city in the nation in terms of leases. Both for the particularities it enjoys, but also for a fairly high general cost of living compared to the rest of Europe. All this, however, conforms to the very high quality of life guaranteed in this country.
Monaco was already born as an elite city, which confirms its position.

What to say, with this list you will certainly be able to choose the ones that best fit your needs and which ones, on the other hand, should be temporarily set aside. At least until the prices go down!
