Jamaican real estate: why invest now

Jamaica is undoubtedly one of the most unique island states in the world. From the name that literally means "land of springs", it is possible to understand how it is unique in its kind at the landscape level. It is the third most densely populated English-speaking country in the entire American continent, with a population descended from former African slaves, who reached the island during the period of European domination. Although the history of this land is not so happy, Jamaica is currently one of the most targeted locations for investors.

With its tropical climate and high temperatures, it welcomes many tourists every year who, falling in love with the country, decide to settle, buying a property.
In recent decades, the market has been relatively quiet so that Jamaican brick has been very undervalued. But, since the beginning of 2019, there has been a significant increase in both residential areas and spaces dedicated to coworking.

The Planning Institute of Jamaica, in fact, has recorded that, as early as the first quarter of the current year, about 3 billion dollars have been invested in Jamaican brick by the future owners, despite the global crisis has invaded this little corner of paradise.
All the economic sectors of the country, unlike many other island states, have seen a particular increase in terms of financing, generating a chain reaction which, it is expected, will continue to spread continuously over the coming months.

But why, according to industry experts, is this the most appropriate and convenient time to invest in Jamaica?
Tourism, which has always been the beating heart of the country, has expanded its propulsion centers, also modifying the same accommodation facilities.
Massive investments have been made that have clearly improved local infrastructure, especially towards multi-ownership (public and private).
The requests are therefore not yet high in numerical terms, but on the supply side the prices are decidedly advantageous and easily affordable.

In fact, it starts from a minimum base of 8,000 euros for building land, while it increases decidedly when moving to apartments and old villas, especially along the coast.
Furthermore, it must be remembered that the population is extremely open and cordial; another reason that pushes future investors to think about this so interesting island.

Therefore, an ancient land in its culture but strong in its national identity, has managed to redeem itself after years of domination, to the point of being considered as a real dream destination and a perfect place to invest. As always, it is hoped that this positive and optimistic trend will last over time, without limitations of any kind. What if Jamaica were your winning destination?
