Africa in pole position in real estate: a billion dollar city in the pipeline
With the new year it seems that there are already those who have the big ideas and try at all costs to realize them as soon as possible. We are talking about Africa, which promises a significant increase in residential construction.
Nigeria is the state that opens this race to the African real estate multiplication.
Those interested in buying a property in Nigeria will be spoiled for choice in the coming months and, what should not be underestimated, the possibility of choosing between totally different categories, even at the price level, from the most luxurious to the most affordable.
What pushed the African government to finance this great (in every sense) real estate project?
Without a doubt the net increase of the population and of investors who are more and more interested in this developing land and, at the same time, fertile for every opportunity.
Among the group of cities that are part of this very important project, we identify first place as previously mentioned Nigeria, the most populous country on the continent and, probably with this project in the pipeline, will become the largest in the world by number of inhabitants within 2050.
In second place are the Mauritius, which already plan 1.3 million new inhabitants for a total of 4 large new cities, ready to welcome them.
Then follow Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, Congo, South Africa and Senegal.
But that is not all !
Africa is obviously also opening up to innovation and sustainability. By 2020 (deadline) we will try to move the remaining 60% of the population living in rural areas, in urban areas but above all eco-friendly.
The challenge is in fact to positively reverse this continent by focusing on local natural resources but also on the desire of investors to converge their economic resources in a growing continent and (currently convenient for competitive market prices).
In Nigeria, a land ready to host 250,000 people has already been cleared once the residential project has been completed.
In Ghana the inauguration of the '' Hope City '' project is expected, with the construction of the highest skyscraper on the continent.
We also remind you that on site they are ready for Africa:
- a new railway system
- a dam
- the technological city of Konza
- solar reserve project in South Africa
What to say, it seems that the new year has really started for this continent!
